PORTLAND, Ore. – For the 12
th time this season, the College of Idaho swept an opponent and for the second time in 2023, it was the Multnomah Lions. The visiting Yotes won in straight sets, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17 on Friday night.
College of Idaho (14-11, 12-5 CCC) posted a .279 hitting percentage in the win.
Haley McUne had a .400 hitting percentage on her way to 13 kills to lead the Yotes. She also had 10 digs for her seventh double double of the season. Plus,
Shelbey Nichol and
Jade Warren added eight and seven kills, respectively.
Multnomah (3-14, 3-14 CCC) was held to a .086 hitting percentage. Ashley Allred had a team-best eight kills in the win.
The Yotes recorded a .312 hitting percentage in a set one victory and .306 clip in the decisive third set. Setters
Analise Hitchcock and
Savannah Hutchins were instrumental in the potent hitting attack with 26 and 11 assists, respectively. C of I recorded six service aces in the matchup. Plus,
Clair Hodge had a match-high 15 digs in the win.
Next, College of Idaho will face Warner Pacific on Saturday at 5 p.m. (PST)/6 p.m. (MT).
