Box Score WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The College of Idaho women's soccer team continued their hot start to the season, defeating Doane University by a score of 2-0. The win improves the Yotes record to a perfect 3-0 on the year.
Lily Schlake wasted no time to get the scoring starting, netting the first goal of the contest 13 minutes in on an assist by
Larissa Wegner. Wegner's through ball found Schlake just outside of the box, where Schlake would dribble around a defender and put the ball over the keeper into the top left corner.
Payton Mongelli tallied the second and final goal of the game for the Yotes just 14 minutes later, as the Yotes would take a 2-0 lead into the half, a lead that would ultimately hold.
Hannah McFadden was sensational in goal for the Yotes, tallying her first shutout of the season. McFadden would end the game with five saves, all of which coming in the first half. The Yotes would hold the Tigers without an official shot on goal for the entirety of the second half en route to the victory.Â
