SURPRISE, Ariz. - The College of Idaho volleyball team ended the weekend at the OUAZ Invitational in Surprise, Arizona, dropping a pair of contests in four sets each.
Game 1
The first game of the day saw the Yotes take on the Lights of Montana State Northern.
Gabriella Rios led the way for the Yotes offense, contributing 11 kills, followed by
Katie Black with 10.
Clair Hodge totaled 14 digs, while
Analise Hitchcock and Rios tied for second on the team with 12, as Rios earned another double-double on the season. The Yotes tallied 45 kills and a .117 hitting percentage in the defeat.
Game 2
The second game of the day saw the Yotes take on Embry-Riddle.
Isabelle Combs led the Yotes attack with 15 kills in the match, followed by Rios with 14, and
Chayla Slavin with 13.
Analise Hitchcock led the way with 44 assists, and Hodge led on the defensive side with 24 digs. The hitting percentage for the Yotes improved in game two, raising the total to a .182 while also increasing the amount of kills to 53.
Up next for the Yotes is the start of CCC play, as the team travels to Eugene, Ore. to take on Bushnell on September 2.
