Glendale, Ariz. – The College of Idaho women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to host Arizona Christian on Tuesday afternoon.
The Coyotes (2-11) lost three tightly-contested doubles matches to start the contest. One of the narrow defeats was at No. 1 doubles with the team of
Lauren Kreutzer and
Taylor Johnson, who lost by a 6-4 margin.
The Firestorm (4-8) won all six singles matches to complete the 7-0 win.
Morgan Leavitt dropped a three-set decision to Samantha Salim by a 2-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (10-4) margin. Also involved in a close match was Anna Wilcuts, who lost by a 6-4, 6-4 margin to Emma Troyer.
Next, C of I will travel to Surprise, Arizona to face Ottawa at 5 p.m. (MST) / 4 p.m. (Arizona Time) on Wednesday.
