MOSCOW, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's swim team returned to the pool after over a month off, resuming action at the Vandal Invite hosted in Moscow.
In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the team of
Karl Yount,
Sam Cortes,
Ryan Barnard, and
Ognjen Markovic took first with a time of 1:27.84. Markovic swam the fastest time of the group at 21.38.
In the final of the 500 yard freestyle,
Ian Clifford took first with a time of 4:48.47, with his fastest lap at a time of 25.46.
Joel Hartmann would finish second with a time of 5:05 with his fastest lap time of 25 seconds.
Ryan Barnard took first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:57.13.
Cahill Robinson would finish second just two seconds behind Barnard, and
Alec Chournos would take third just a second behind Chournos.
Joel Hartmann took first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.53, while
Sam Cortes and
Cahill Robinson finished just a mere one second behind him.
The Yotes will be back in action in California on January 28.
