KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kayla Soderstrom scored the golden goal in the 97th minute to lift Northwest to a 1-0 win over College of Idaho on Saturday in the regular season finale for both sides.
After Claire Jo Diede won a ball at midfield for the Eagles (9-6-3, 8-2-2 CCC), she would lift a ball over the defense that found Soderstrom, who maneuvered her way to inside the goal area where she pooched in the game-winner.
