Boyd Named NAIA West Grouping Pitcher of the Week

LA GRANDE, Ore. - College of Idaho's Hunter Boyd was named Red Lion-NAIA West Grouping Baseball Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league information office.

The senior, from Moses Lake, Wash., recorded a dominant performance in a Coyote 3-2 victory over Oregon Tech on Saturday.

The right-hander went a season-high nine innings, allowing just two runs on four hits, walking one batter and striking out eight - his third-straight outing with at least seven strikeouts.

Boyd leads the NAIA West with a 1.82 ERA and 34 strikeouts on the season.
