Mali Sawyer had 10 kills without an error, as the College of Idaho earned a key three-set victory over the Evergreen State College inside Costantino Recreation Center.
The No. 16 ranked Lady Yotes (17-6, 12-3 CCC) rolled to a 25-20, 25-23, 25-19 victory – extending their win streak to six.
Sawyer had a kill and a block in a key four-point surge in Set 1 to erase a 17-16 Geoducks (10-14, 8-7) lead and earn the win.
TESC rallied back in Set 2 from a 12-6 deficit, pulling even at 18-18 on a Lehualani Keka kill. However, Dani Neuman blasted three kills in a 5-0 C of I run to put the set away.
C of I used a 10-2 run in Set 3 to break a 13-13 tie to complete the sweep and improve to 34-2 all-time vs. the Greeners.
Pagan finished the night with 11 kills and 23 digs, while Sawyer had 10 kills on 21 swings – without an error.
Jackie van Vliet had nine kills – now with 995 career kills. Neuman finished with six kills without an error,
Marija Djonovic had 25 assists and
Drew Dobney logged 20 digs.
Keka and Natalie Taylor led TESC with 10 kills on the night.
