Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho - The No. 8 College of Idaho volleyball team wrapped up another perfect weekend tonight with a sweep of Cascade Conference opponent Northwest Christian at the J.A. Albertsons Activities Center. The Yotes used a hitting percentage of .250 compared with the Beacon's .075 to win with scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20.
Jackie Van Vliet led the Yotes with 10 kills on 20 attempts with no errors and eight blocks while
Taylor Alexander posted nine kills with eight blocks. The Yotes trailed midway through the second set, but pulled ahead to 17-13 on two assisted blocks from Van Vliet and Alexander and a solo block from Alexander.
Conference leading setter Marija Djonovic posted 34 assists and seven kills while libero
Kilee Lopez had 12 digs and two service aces.
The Yotes out-blocked the Beacons 10-5 and posted 42 kills compared to 30. They also served four aces compared with Northwest Christian's one.
With the win, the Yotes move to 15-1 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. The Beacons fall to 9-4 (5-4, CCC).
The College of Idaho continues with their conference schedule next weeked, playing at Eastern Oregon on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. PT and at Walla Walla on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.
