2017 Volleyball Game Notes - Week 12

The Yotes host Eastern Oregon and Walla Walla

COMING UP: The College of Idaho volleyball team wraps up the regular season this weekend at home against Eastern Oregon on Thursday at 7 p.m. and against Walla Walla on Friday at 4 p.m.

LAST WEEK: The Yotes battled Northwest Christian in five sets on Friday before coming away with the 3-2 victory. They fell 3-1 to Corban on 
Saturday. 

NAIA POLL: After their loss to Corban on Saturday night, the Yotes dropped one spot - from 13th to 14th - in the NAIA Coaches' Poll. 

Corban made a big jump this week - from 15th to 10th following their wins over Eastern Oregon and the Yotes last weekend. Eastern Oregon - who lost to Corban but swept Northwest Christian - dropped from 11th to 13th. 

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) stays atop the rankings as the lone undefeated team. Viterbo (Wis.) stayed in second while Hasting (Neb.) moved from 5th to 3rd. 
 
PLAYOFF SPOT CLINCHED FOR 19TH STRAIGHT YEAR: With their  victory on Oct. 20 against Evergreen, the Lady Yotes clinched one of the six spots in this years' Cascade Conference Championships. It marks the 19th straight postseason berth for the Lady Yotes - including every CCC Tournament since 1999 - with C of I winning eight CCC tourney titles - along with 11 trips to the NAIA Championships, including a string of eight-straight appearances from 2008-15.
