Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho - Riding a season-high 10 service aces, the College of Idaho cruised to a 25-19, 25-8, 25-16 victory over Corban University inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
Katy Robinson led C of I (7-7, 3-1 CCC) with 12 kills on the day, with Sierra Porter adding 33 assists and a team-high four aces. Â Both Jayde Folsom and Kathyn Nasburn each added two aces in the win.
The Warriors (3-10, 0-6) got a pair of early kills from Claire Bailey in Set 1 to take an 8-5 lead, but the Yotes scored eight of the next nine points - including five hitting errors by Corban, to take a 13-9 lead and rolled to the period win.
Set 2 was all C of I, using a 15-1 run break a 5-5 tie - getting three aces from Porter and two from Nasburg, along with three kills from Emily Ottinger in the surge.
In Set 3, a Shantelle Hill kill got the Warriors within 16-13, however C of I ran off six-straight points, including a pair of combo-blocks from Porter and Alaina Slater, to close out the win.
Ottinger had nine kills for the Yotes, with Kilee Lopez leading all players with 17 digs.
Bailey led the Warriors with eight kills, with Hill recording five kills in the loss. Â Mikenzee Frazier had 11 assists and Kasey Calderon added 12 digs for Corban.
C of I returns to action next weekend with road matches at Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon.
