EUGENE, Ore. - Emily Ottinger led four College of Idaho players in double-figure kills with 14, helping the Lady Yotes close out the regular-season with a four set victory at Northwest Christian.
The Lady Yotes (16-11, 13-5) claimed the No. 4 seed in next week's Cascade Conference Tournament with an 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 victory over the Beacons, improving to 16-0 all-time against NCU.
C of I will play host to Northwest University in the quarterfinals of the league tourney on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. Â The winner will head to La Grande, Ore., for the four-team, single-elimination tournament, with the winner of the Friday-Saturday event claiming the CCC's automatic bid to the NAIA Championships.

Early on, the Beacons (9-13, 6-12) had control of the match, getting four kills from Chelsea McGowan and forcing nine C of I hitting errors to claim Set 1. The Yotes responded in Set 2, getting two kills each from Abbey Fenton and Kylie Porter in a 11-4 run to open the frame, then got two kills from Ottinger in a key five-point push after NCU cut the margin to 16-15, to earn the set win.

After claiming Set 3, the Yotes erased a 10-6 Beacons with an 8-2 run, keyed by back-to-back block assists from Janessa Koelliker, to take the lead for good and complete the victory.

Porter had 13 kills, Bailee Kendall recorded 11, and Fenton had 10 kills in the win, with Koelliker leading the Yotes with four blocks. Sierra Porter had 49 assists and Kilee Lopez recorded 21 digs in the victory.Â

NCU was led by 14 kills from McGowan and 13 kills and nine digs from Chandler Gabrio.
