CALDWELL, Idaho – A combined 25 kills from Bailee Kendall and Kylie Porter helped the College of Idaho complete a three set sweep of Warner Pacific inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
The Lady Yotes (9-8, 6-2 CCC) won their 34th-straight match against the Knights with a 28-26, 25-16, 25-23 decision.
Porter had seven kills in the opening set, including a spike that helped C of I build a 19-13 lead. The Knights (4-9, 2-6) battled back, getting back-to-back Cara Wonsley aces in an 8-2 spurt to get back in the frame, pulling even at 24-24 on a Janessa White kill. The Yotes staved off two WP set points, grabbing the set win after back-to-back Knights hitting errors.
Set 2 was all Coyotes, as Kendall had three kills in an opening 11-3 run, as C of I went wire-to-wire.
WP took an 8-5 lead in Set 3 on a Kendra Henry ace and were even with the Lady Yotes at 22-22 after a Mikeala Lisoski kill. However a kill and block by Abbey Fenton and a Porter spike closed out the match win.
