Lady Yotes Drop Overtime Thriller to Rocky

Shea Yuma had the Yotes lone goal vs. Rocky Mountain
Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. - Alex Harvey scored the game-winning goal with seven minutes remaining in the second overtime session, helping No. 21 ranked Rocky Mountain defeat The College of Idaho, 2-1, at the Red Lion Cascade/Frontier Challenge.

After an uneventful first overtime session, the Bears (3-0) had a chance early in the second extra session, when Therese Hagbyhn drove a 20-yard shot wide of the mark. However, Harvey made a run down the left side and found the net in the 103rd minute to give Rocky their third win of the early season.

After a scoreless first half, Harvey got the Bears on the board in the 71st minute, flicking home a cross from Hagbyhn to give RMC the 1-0 lead. It would last until the 86th minute, when the Yotes (1-2) Shea Yuma made a run down the left side and beat keeper Malin Johansseon for the equalizer.

Rocky held an 11-6 edge in total shots, while holding an 18-10 edge in fouls.

C of I returns to action tomorrow, meeting Great Falls at 3:30 p.m.
