Box Score LA GRANDE, Ore. - Casey Loper had a match-high 11 kills and six blocks, as No. 21 ranked Eastern Oregon opened Cascade Conference play with a 25-19, 25-12, 25-17 victory over The College of Idaho at Quinn Coliseum.

The win for the Mountaineers (10-2, 1-0 CCC) was their second straight over the Lady Yotes at Quinn - using a relentless offensive attack and forcing C of I into 23 hitting errors.
The Yotes (0-6, 0-1) jumped out to a quick 7-1 lead in the opening set, getting kills from four different players. However, EOU got three kills from Stefani Sorensen in a 9-3 run to even the match at 10-10, with a Loper kill giving the hosts the lead for good in Set 1 at 17-16.
Eastern never trailed in Set 2, sprinting out to a 4-0 lead, extending the margin to 13-5 after three-straight Sorensen aces. Set 3 was tight, as the Yotes pulled even a 13-13 after an EOU hitting error. A four-point push, keyed by two Kasaundra Tuma kills and a Tuma block gave the Mounties a lead they would not relinquish.
Sorensen had eight kills and eight digs in the win for EOU, with Karly Stack recording 17 assists and 11 digs.
Liz Myers had nine kills and five blocks, with Sofia Anxo adding seven kills for the Yotes. Sierra Porter had 20 assists and seven digs, with Janel Porter leading the Lady Yotes with 15 digs.
C of I returns to action next weekend with three home matches, beginning Wednesday vs. Lewis-Clark State.
