Game 1 saw the Yotes break open a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, as junior Anna Denn roped a pinch-hit, three-run double to give The C of I the lead. After the Firestorm (0-6) tallying an unearned run in the fifth, the Coyotes put the game away in the bottom of the inning, as Alexis Macias doubled home a run and Ashley Van Horne slugged a two-run homer.
It was enough for Skinner, who tossed six innings of one-hit ball, striking out nine.
According to head coach, Al Mendiola, Game 2 was an error-filled contest - as all five Simpson runs were unearned. Complete game results were not available.
The late game vs. Biola, Molly Mills hit a key grand slam homer to lift The C of I to victory. Complete game results were not available.
