OLYMPIA, Wash. - Five College of Idaho players recorded five-or-more kills, as the Lady Yotes completed a sweep of the opening weekend of Cascade Conference play, defeating Evergreen State 25-14, 25-18, 25-17, inside the CRC Gymasnium.

The Lady Yotes (5-4, 2-0 CCC) won for the 17th-straight time against the Geoducks – trailing just two times in the entire match.
Four kills by freshman middle Kylie Porter helped The C of I roll to a 14-5 lead in Set 1, cruising to the opening win. The Yotes scored the first five points in Set 2, only to see the Geoducks (0-7, 0-2) get within 12-10 on a Stephanie Peshlakai ace. However, back-to-back Jessica Peacock kills helped the Coyotes regain control and earn the set win.
Evergreen had their lone leads early in Set 3 and triailed just 20-17 after a Cassidy Watkins kill. However the Yotes recorded the final five points of the match, including a spike by Peacock to close out the win.
Peacock had nine kills to lead The C of I, with Kylee Nawahine, Sofia Anxo, and Porter each recording seven kills. Kelsey Soos led all players with 25 assists and three aces, with Janel Porter recording 12 digs. Watkins led TESC with 10 kills, with Sonja Arrasi-Nash recording 11 digs.
The Lady Yotes open up the home conference season next weekend hosting Northwest Christian and Corban.
