Box Score
The No. 14 ranked Lady Yotes (15-4, 12-0 CCC) won their 12th-straight match, as all 13 healthy players on their roster saw game action for the first time this year.
Liz Myers had six of her team-high 10 kills in the opening set, including scoring four of the final six points of the set for the Yotes. Back-to-back combo-blocks from Myers and Sofia Anxo started a 13-4 run to open Set 2 as the C of I cruised to the quick two-set lead.
The Geoducks (0-20, 0-11), who lost their 41st-straight match, played tough in Set 3 – with eight ties and five lead changes. ESC took a 11-10 lead after three-straight C of I hitting errors, but a pair of Torrey Hulsey kills and a Janel Porter ace helped the Coyotes run off four-straight points – taking the lead for good. The Greeners got as close as 20-18 on a Coyote hitting error and a Shelby Clark spike, but could not rally.
Hulsey had nine kills and four blocks in two sets of action, with Jessica Peacock recording nine kills and two blocks – also in two sets. Sierra Porter notched 36 assists, 10 digs, and three blocks, with Janel Porter logging 15 digs in the win.
Cassidy Watkins led Evergreen with 10 kills and nine digs, with Sasha Nash leading the Geoducks with 17 assists.
The Lady Yotes return to action tomorrow night, hosting Northwest University at 7 p.m.
