EUGENE, Ore. - A career best round from
Clancy Cockerham and a steady tournament from
Chris Carew helped the College of Idaho duo finish in the Top-10, highlighting the action for the Coyotes at the season opening Northwest Christian Invitational at Emerald Valley Golf Club.

Cockerham became the tenth player in program history to record a round in the 60s, carding a second round 3-under-par 69, helping him to a sixth-place finish (76-69-80 - 225) - 11-strokes off the lead.
Carew finished the tournament in a tie for seventh, carding three consecutive rounds in the 70s (73-76-77 - 226).
As a team, C of I finished tenth out of 13 teams, recording rounds of 329-322-335, recording a 54-hole total of 87-over-par (986). British Columbia won the team title (899), seven strokes clear of Oregon Tech (906).
Rounding out the Coyote scorers were Michael Piazinni in 57th (84-88-85 - 257) and
Peyton Fleming in 65th (96-89-93 - 278).
The Yotes return to action next Monday, hosting the C of I Invitational at TimberStone Golf Course.
