C of I Finishes 16th in Learfield Directors Cup

AUSTIN, Texas – Another outstanding athletic season helped the College of Idaho finish in the Top-20 of the 2017-18 Learfield NAIA Directors' Cup standings, placing No. 16 among all NAIA institutions.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships, utilizing the top six men's and top six women's finishes.

C of I finished with 543.5 total points - including 62 points during the spring season - earning 57 points for a 16th-place finish in women's track and five points for a 69th-place finish in men's track. The Yotes received 267.5 points in the winter season (thanks to stellar performances by the men's and women's swim teams and men's basketball), and 214 points in the fall season, thanks to great performances by the both cross country teams and the volleyball program.

Oklahoma City claimed the title with 847 points, followed by Lindsey Wilson with 846 and Wayland Baptist with 814. C of I was one of three Cascade Conference schools in the Top-25 (Southern Oregon at No. 13, C of I at No. 16 and Eastern Oregon at No. 21)
