GULF SHORES, Ala. – Two College of Idaho athletes competed in distance events on the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
Senior
Dylan Haas closed his career with an 18th-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, recording a time of 9:50.37. Haas made a move to join the chase pack behind the leaders on the fifth lap, but was unable to maintain the pace.
Sophomore
Alex Martin took 15th-place in the 5,000-meters, finishing with a time of 15:26.19. He was in the chase pack throughout the race on the hot, humid afternoon.
As a team, the Coyotes scored one point in the meet, earning a share of 69th-place.
