LAKE PLACID, N.Y. –
Elyse Burandt earned All-America honors and helped the College of Idaho earn a podium finish in the USCSA Women's Freeski Skier-Cross for the third-straight year, placing second overall on Whiteface Mountain.
Burandt was one of four Lady Yotes to reach the 32-skier elimination bracket – reaching the semifinals and placing fourth in the small final.
Both
Dana Randolph and
Erin Skufca reached the quarterfinals, with Randolph placing third in her heat and Skufca placing fourth.
Beth Mixon placed third in her section of the first-round.
Rocky Mountain claimed the team title with 16 place points – ending C of I's run of two-straight team gold medals in the event. C of I recorded 35 points, followed by Sierra Nevada (40).
The Yotes return to the hill tomorrow, competing in the slalom.
