LA GRANDE, Ore. - College of Idaho players swept the first Red Lion-Cascade Conference weekly softball awards of 2018, announced by the league information office.
Junior 
Colette Robert was honored as Pitcher of the Week, while freshman 
Jordan Maddox was named Player of the Week.
Robert, from Milton-Freewater, Ore., pitched a complete game five-hitter in C of I's 6-1 victory over Arizona Christian, striking out seven without a walk. It capped a perfect 4-0 trip for the left-hander, where she had a 1.88 ERA, walking two and striking out 21.
Maddox, from Alamo, Calif., was 4-for-7 with a solo homer in the doubleheader vs. ACU - helping the Yotes sweep the twinbill. The first-year Coyote hit .517 in the eight games in Arizona, with four doubles, three homers and four RBI.
The Lady Yotes return to action a week from Saturday, hosting Willamette in a three-game series.
