GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. – A dominant performance by the College of Idaho led the Lady Yotes to their fourth-straight Northwest Collegiate Ski Conference victory, claiming today's giant slalom qualifier at Mount Hood Ski Bowl.
C of I took three of the top four positions in the individual standings and had all six of their skiers in the Top-25 – clocking a two-run team time of 4:21.26, well ahead of British Columbia (4:26.72) and Washington (4:39.59).
Samantha Boughner of UBC earned the individual title (1:26.18) – but followed closely by three Lady Yotes.
Mary Totten earned the silver medal (1:26.48),
Elyse Burandt took the bronze (1:26.88), with
Beth Mixon in fourth (1:27.90).
Three other C of I skiers had quality days –
Dana Randolph in 13th-place (1:34.78),
Erin Skufca in 14th (1:35.05) and
Emily Gahn in 21st (1:48.89).
The NWCSC closes out the regular-season next weekend with slalom qualifiers at Grouse Mountain, just outside Vancouver, B.C.
