MCCALL, Idaho –
Lucas Underkoffler blitzed the field with a stellar second run to erase a one-second deficit, grabbing his fourth career NWCSC individual crown, leading the College of Idaho to the team title of today's giant slalom qualifier at Brundage Mountain.
The three-time All-NWCSC selection won the afternoon run by 0.94 seconds – with his two-run time of 2:06.92 just ahead of first-run leader, Reid Reininger (2:07.00) of Washington State.
C of I used three skiers in the Top-8 to claim the top spot on the podium with a combined time of 6:15.71 – ahead of WSU (6:29.29) and the University of Washington (6:47.37).

Trevor Trimble had the second fastest second run, placing fourth overall (2:08.09), with
Brady Nilsson taking eighth (2:10.70) – his second Top-10 finish of the weekend. Three others finished in the Top-20 –
Jarod Esnoz in 12th (2:18.48),
Andrew Brinker in 19th (2:36.45) and
Arnav Virmani in 20th (2:37.98) – while
Anthony Schifone was unable to finish his first run.
The conference heads next to 49-Degrees North in Washington for their first slalom qualifiers, set for next Saturday and Sunday.
