FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Seven different swimmers earned individual wins and the College of Idaho dominated both relay events, as the Yotes won their six-straight dual meet dating back to last season with a 173-54 victory over Division III Pacific University at Forest Grove Aquatics Center.
The Yotes (4-0) won 10 total events on the day, with senior Thomas Sheridian earning a double – winning the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.54) and the 400-yard IM (4:19.63), while helping the Coyote "B" relay to an upset win in the 200-medley (1:39.28).
Graham Williams started a string of three-straight C of I wins with a victory in the 1,650-free (16:59.99), as
Andrew Clifford (1:45.55) claimed the 200-yard freestyle and
Cooper Salmen won the 100-yard backstroke (55.79). The Yotes'
Ian Locke also picked up a victory in the 100-yard butterfly (53.34)
Jon Jennings and
Dylan Osborne each out-touched each other in the sprints – Jennings earning a tight win in the 50-yard freestyle (22.24), while Osborne won the 100-yard freestyle (50.42). The duo teamed with Salmen and Jennings for a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:16.47).
C of I will close out their regular season in two weeks – traveling to California for their annual Winter Break training session and a dual with NAIA foe, Soka University.
