Cossins Wins Pole Vault, Morse Breaks Records in Nampa

NAMPA, Idaho – Allison Cossins broke the indoor school record with a victory in the pole vault and Hayley Morse added two school records and a national mark in the throws, leading the College of Idaho at the Ed Jacoby Invitational at Jackson's Track.
COMPLETE RESULTS
Cossins was the lone winner for the Lady Yotes at the meet, clearing 3.45 meters (11 feet, 3.5 inches) on her final attempt to claim the title – and just missed at 3.52 meters – which would have been an NAIA qualifying mark.
Morse led a solid C of I contingent in the throws – breaking her own school mark on Friday in the weight throw with a heave of 15.48 meters (50 feet, 9.5 inches) on her second attempt in the finals, taking fourth overall. She backed it up today with a seventh-place finish in the shot put, hitting the NAIA "A" standard with a throw of 13.60 meters (44 feet, 7.5 inches) – the fourth-best throw in the NAIA this season.
A limited number of Lady Yotes competed on the track – all in the 60-meter dash – where Payge Durocher led the way with a time of 8.42 seconds.

The team returns to Nampa next Saturday for the Bronco Invitational.
