FEDERAL WAY, Wash. –
Maddy Kelly qualified for the "B" final of the 50-yard freestyle, clocking the third-fastest time in program history along the way, while the Lady Yotes established four new NAIA qualifying marks, headlining the College of Idaho on Day 1 of the Husky Invitational at King County Aquatics Center.
Competing against a bevy of NCAA Division I athletes, Kelly clocked a time of 23.97 seconds in the morning preliminary heat to advance to the evening session – where she placed eighth in her section of the finals. Her time ranks as the No. 1 mark in the NAIA this season.

Deandre Small and
Hailie Mazick both recorded quality marks in the 50-free, Small improving her automatic qualifying time (24.77), while Mazick hit the NAIA "B" cut (26.11). Both joined Kelly and
Caroline Yannelli to establish a new NAIA "A" mark in the 400-yard medley relay (4:01.21), with the quartet recording a season-best time in the 200-yard free relay (1:39.44).
Yannelli improved her NAIA "B" but to an auto qualifier with a solid swim in the 200-yard IM (2:13.56), while
Taylor Gordon hit a new bonus cut in the 500-yard freestyle.
