Molly Vitale-Sullivan recorded the third Top-5 finish in program history, placing fifth overall, leading the College of Idaho to a sixth-place finish at the 2017 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

The sophomore was in the lead pack throughout the 5-kilometer race, finishing in a time of 17:36 – joining two-time national champ, Hillary Holt, as the only top-five finishers in program history.
All five scorers for the Lady Yotes finished within the Top-100, helping C of I record 240 place points – behind only British Columbia (109), Wayland Baptist (125), Oklahoma City (137), Aquinas (181) and Taylor (232).
C of I used a tight pack, with just 28 seconds separating the No. 2 through No. 5 runners.
Ashtyn Ellis placed 49th (18:30),
Abigail Craig took 61st (18:41),
Erin Moyer placed 85th (18:57) and
Tamika Russell finished in 86th (18:58) to lead the Yotes.
