WALLA WALLA, Wash. – A dominating performance by the College of Idaho men's swim team netted the Yotes their first-ever dual meet victory over Whitman College, a 152-105 victory at Harvey Pool.

The Yotes (2-0), ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA Top-10 Coaches' Poll, won 10 events, established six new national qualifying marks and improved on three others, in picking up their first-ever win over the Blues.
Andrew Clifford won three individual events – recording the fourth-fastest 200-yard freestyle time in program history (1:44.19) with a new NAIA "A" mark; becoming the third C of I swimmer to break the 48-second barrier in the 100-yard freestyle (47.70); and cruising to a sizable win in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.80).
Thomas Sheridan also had three wins – hitting the "A" mark in the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.99), while claiming the gold in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.29) and 400-yard IM (4:17.27).
Dylan Osborne won the 100-yard butterfly (52.12) and placed a close second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.00);
Jon Jennings won the 100-yard backstroke (53.07) with the second-fastest time in school history and added an "A" cut with a second-place finish in the 100-free (48.39); while
Graham Williams hit an "A" mark with a win in the 1,650-free (17:08.89).
Ian Jenkins also hit two NAIA bonus cuts in the dual – in the 200-free (1:50.25) and the 400-IM (4:28.19).
C of I returns to action in two weeks, competing at the Husky Invitational.
