VANCOUVER, Wash. –
Alex Martin became the fifth College of Idaho runner to earn All-America honors, leading the Coyotes to a tenth-place finish at the 2017 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

Martin placed 23rd overall, joining Greg Montgomery, Dominic Bolin, Max Hampton and Billy Godfrey in the exclusive club, traversing the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:16.
The Yotes had two other runners in the Top-100, helping the team to 351 place-points, well behind champion British Columbia (41) – but the third-best mark among Cascade Conference teams (Southern Oregon finished fourth, Eastern Oregon finished seventh).
Marcos Cervantes had his best race of the year, placing 56th (25:50), while freshman
Cole Campbell took 98th (26:14).
Quinn Radbourne (26:28, 128th-place) and
Andrew Sutton (26:40, 153rd-place) rounded out the C of I top-five.
