OAKLAND, Calif. - Racking up 14 national qualifying marks, the College of Idaho opened up the 2017-18 men's swim season with a convincing 139-64 dual meet victory over Division II Biola University at Trefethen Aquatics Center.

Coyote swimmers swept both relays and captured wins in seven of the nine individual races to pick up their second all-time win over the Eagles.
Dylan Osborne opened up the season with wins in both the 50-yard freestyle (21.80) and the 100-yard butterfly (51.58) - hitting the NAIA automatic qualifying standard in both races. He also swam a leg in the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:37.78) that hit the "A" standard.
Freshman
Andrew Clifford also earned two wins, hitting auto marks in both the 200-yard IM (1:56.67) and the 100-yard freestyle (48.05). Fellow frosh,
Jon Jennings swam the second-fastest 100-yard backstroke in program history, winning with an NAIA "A" time of 53.14.
Thomas Sheridan hit the "A" standard with a win in the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.90), with teammates
Graham Williams (4:58.83) and
Ian Jenkins (4:59.71) hitting "B" marks in the event. Sheridan added an auto cut with a second-place finish in the 200-IM (1:57.37).
Cooper Salmen won the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.29), hitting the bonus cut in the event, along with the 100-back (55.40) and helping the 400-yard free relay hit the NAIA "A" cut (3:19.34). Teammate
Matthew Kahlig added a "B" cut in the 200-free (1:50.39).
