Lady Yotes Win Warrior Invitational

ROCKLIN, Calif. – Molly Vitale-Sullivan placed second overall, one of five College of Idaho runners in the Top-16, leading the Lady Yotes to the team title of the Warrior Invitational, hosted by William Jessup University.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Competing against some of the top NAIA schools in the West, the Lady Yotes scored 56 place points – one fewer than second-place Oregon Tech – though OIT had a 5-runner team time 12 seconds faster than C of I. The Master's (70), Southern Oregon (81) and Northwest (110) rounded out the Top-5.

Vitale-Sullivan traversed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 17:34 – second only to SOU's Jessa Perkinson. The C of I pack was the difference, as the second-place and fifth-place runners for the Yotes were separated by just two seconds and just a 48-second 1-5 split.

Ashtyn Ellis placed 13th (18:20), Tamika Russell took 14th (18:22), Erin Moyer placed 15th (18:22) and Abigail Craig took 16th (18:22) in the 108 runner field.

C of I closes out the regular-season in two weeks, traveling to La Grande, Ore., for the Cascade Conference Championships.
