Coyote Men Take Close Second at Warrior Invite

ROCKLIN, Calif. – Placing seven runners in the overall Top-20, the College of Idaho gave defending national champion Southern Oregon everything they could handle – placing second at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by William Jessup University.

COMPLETE RESULTS

The Yotes had three Top-10 finishers and were the first team to have five scorers cross the finish line - recording 49 place points. SOU was just slightly better – with their team time 21 seconds faster than C of I, earning the title with 43 place points. Both teams were well ahead of three Top-25 foes – Westmont (75), The Masters (119) and Oregon Tech (125) – who rounded out the Top-5.

Cole Campbell finished 17th (25:22) and Jerry Celestino took 20th (25:31) to round out the Yotes scorers.

C of I closes out the regular-season in two weeks, traveling to La Grande, Ore., for the Cascade Conference Championships.
