CALDWELL, Idaho – The No. 7 College of Idaho Women's Cross Country team will be competing in the Cascade Conference Championship on Saturday, November 5th in Salem, Oregon, hosted by Corban University.
The course will be a 5,000 race to determine the berths for NAIA National Tournament in two weeks.
The Lady Yotes featured seven racers who finished their last 5,000-meter race under the 18-minute mark at the Warrior Invitational on October 22nd.
Lila Klopfenstein led the Lady Yotes with a time of 17:40.20 and 2nd overall at the Warrior Invitational. Behind her was
Molly Vitale-Sullivan (17:59.20) and
Ashtyn Ellis (18:25.80). Rounding out the top-5 for the Lady Yotes are
Emily Hawgood (18:32.20) and
Tamika Russell (18:36.80).
The Beacons of Northwest Christian have been ranked first nationally all-season and are the favorite to win the Cascade Conference Championship. Sierra Brown leads the team, finishing first or second overall in all of Northwest Christian's meets this year. The Beacons as a team have won three of the four meets they have competed at this season.
