Coyote Men Sign Seven Runners for 2014-15 Season

Pat McCurry has signed seven student-athletes for the upcoming 2014-15 season
CALDWELL, Idaho – College of Idaho men's cross country/track and field head coach Pat McCurry has announced the signing of seven student-athletes to Cascade Conference Letter of Intents for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
 
Three freshmen runners will compete starting next month with the cross country program – Erik Nordquist, Quinn Radbourne, and Joseph Ash. 
 
Nordquist, from Jerome High, finished sixth at the 4A state meet in both the 1,600 (4:27.37) and 3,200-meters (9:55.23).   Radbourne, from Cedarcrest High in Washington, qualified for the 2A state cross country championships in 2013 – clocking a 5,000-meter time of 16:32.97 – while recording top marks on the track of 1:55.73 in the 800 and 4:20.64 in the 1,600.  Ash, from Dunbar High in Kentucky, has a top 3,200-meter time of 10:26.37.
 
Four freshmen will join the track team next spring – Beau White, Garrett Norris, Dylan Haas and Kevin Wang.
 
Both White and Norris are multi-sport athletes, each competing this fall as part of the football program.  White, from Mountain View High in Meridian, has top times of 11.00 in the 100 and 22.55 in the 200.  Norris, from Mead High in Spokane, Wash., will help the Yotes in the hurdles.
 
Haas, from Meridian High, finished seventh at the 5A state meet in the 800-meters (1:57.24), while clocking a top 400-meter time of 50.27.  Wang, from Rocky Mountain High, finished seventh in the 100-meters in each of the last two 5A state meets, recording top times of 11.03 in the 100 and 22.94 in the 200.
